ARTRU Blog has migrated from Oxygen Builder to Bricks Builder

I have known about Bricks Builder for quite a long time. But recently I've really become more interested in Bricks. And currently using Bricks for this website.

For those of you who don't know. Oxygen and Bricks are both WordPress website building tools like Elementor but allow you deeper customization and better loading speed. I guarantee that anyone who writes code or custom themes will love using these Builders.

Why Bricks and not any other Builder?

I have used Oxygen Builder for a long time. Honestly, thanks to Oxygen, I learned a lot about code (php, html, css, js). But because of it, I had to leave and come to Bricks Builder.

Oxygen is still very good right now. You easily get the score 100/100 on Google Speed Insight. However, the Oxygen development team made a mistake when releasing a new Builder called Breakdance. Almost every requested feature of Oxygen is implemented on Breakdance.

This makes me and many other users feel like Oxygen has been abandoned. But that's just a feeling, updates for Oxygen are still supported regularly but not too often. At the same time, Bricks emerged in the international Builder community like a bucket of cold water thrown on Oxygen as well as Breakdance.

Indeed, Bricks does not disappoint. The author has updated many features from the first Beta versions. And until now it is considered the best WordPress (drag and drop) website building tool. But in my opinion, there is no best tool, only the most suitable tool.

For these types of Builders, everyone can try them out to see which one suits them better:

Advantages of Bricks Builder

There has to be something better for people to use it, right? Once you are familiar with Oxygen, Bricks is like an upgraded version of Oxygen 2.0

Regarding speed, you don't need to care too much. Oxygen, Breakdance or Bricks all give extremely good results. Although switching to Bricks is not easily achieved 100 similar to Oxygen, but it helps me save a lot of time when building a website. It only took me nearly 2 days to complete this ARTRU Blog with Bricks.

Disadvantages of Bricks Builder

Speak well to say back. For newcomers, Bricks or Oxygen are not as easy to get used to from the beginning as Elementor.

Here I only compare the two main characters, Bricks and Oxygen.

Although Bricks has a fast pace of feature development, the basic parts that Oxygen has been working on for a long time, are still not available on Bricks.

Bricks' Global Style CSS management is very clunky and messy. I have to use it vscode.dev To Format Code before putting it in Bricks. While Oxygen manages this part a lot better.

Next is for those who are passionate about writing code. Once again Bricks lost to Oxygen. In "Code Block" Oxygen is divided into 3 parts for you to enter arbitrary code, while Bricks only has 1 box and you have to manually enter the cards. <?php ?> <style> <script>. And Oxygen renders "Code Block" better than Bricks too.

Although Bricks has completely switched from jQuery to pure JavaScript to optimize and increase scores in speed measurement tools. But it uses additional Inline JavaScript code, which causes some features like sliders to fail when you use delay JS techniques in tools like WP Rocket, Perfmatters.

Woo is also not Bricks' strong point. By default there are quite a few options, so the solution is to write additional code yourself or use a 3rd party addon to support your sales website like BricksUltimate

I haven't used all the widgets in Bricks yet, so I can only get a rough feel for it.
